Ah, Back Bay–my old living quarters. I’m actually heading out there next month so I’ll add this to my to-do list (along with some proper lobster rolls).

These look incredible. Despite my general aversion to meat in large quantities, you had me sold with the Szechuan glaze. I’m there!

very tempting treat for $2. amazing! will head there next week!

Is it absolutely shameful to call these meatballs, well, ballsy? And I don't just mean name-dropping Kobe at a bar that has all the varnished trappings of Back Bay's after-work scene. Available on the $2 small plates menu (daily 4pm-6pm and Thu-Sat 10:30pm-midnight), the meaty, impaled trio of orbs "tossed in a Szechuan glaze" are, to my surprise, quite munchable. Dense lil' moist balls leave the palate with a bit of sweet and real heat--a fire that's easily quenched by a ginormous "premium vodka" dirty martini 'round these parts.
