Did you just bite into a tail? A deboned, headless, bun-length fish is battered in egg and flour and fried--tail and all--to create the "minuta" in this Cuban sandwich. It gets predictable after that, with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato and generous squirts of a lime-spiked tartar sauce coming between the fried fish and the bun. You can always wash it down with one of the signature tropical juices or exotic fruit shakes at this open air landmark.
