People might come for Bakesale Betty’s infamous fried chicken sandwich, but you can’t pass up the scones too! This neighborhood bakery creates scones that are like cake but with the usual crumbly crispy edges. Flavors include apricot-almond, lemon raisin and (my favorite) pear ginger. With a sprinkle of sugar on top, these huge scones go well with any cup of afternoon tea. And if you buy a scone with one of the sandwiches, then the owner might throw in a free brownie! (Now that’s a deal!)
