I grew up on this, going for dim sum with my family every weekend. So I know my “dahn tat,” or custard tart. And while Golden Gate Bakery’s version isn’t the dream, it’s pretty darn close. From the flaky crust to the clean, smooth, vanilla-flavored custard filling, it’s worth standing in that line that’s always there. I eat it piping hot on the spot because that’s how I roll.
