During every excursion I've made below the border, I've eaten from food stands on the street with great success for my palate ... and less than desirable results for my digestive system. The El Taquito Mexicano Truck doesn't have to abide by health codes (as far as I know) but my stomach hasn't complained yet, and the food is as authentic as the roadside eats of our Southern neighbor. Tacos come at the ludicrous price of $1.20 a pop with a variety of toppings, my favorite being chicharrón, well-seasoned and deep-fried pork skin. Soft hand-sized portions of tortilla (two per taco) sandwich the generous heaping of ingredients -- onions, cilantro, hot sauce, and the requisite citrus slice.
