Everyone's favorite 24-hour Ukrainian diner produces an exemplary black and white cookie, the classic symbol of New York taoism. The frosting was the usual waxy paste, less sweet than I would have liked, but resting atop a moist, dense piece of cake that more than made up for it. I was full from Veselka's crusty, bloody bacon cheeseburger and just took a couple of bites before tossing it aside in a spasm of remorse.
